1. Who we are
Prevyou is a Shopify app published by Drivee SASU, a French company (“Prevyou”, “we”). Contact: contact@app-prevyou.com.
This policy covers merchants who install Prevyou and the shoppers of their stores who use the virtual try-on.
2. Our role
For merchant account data, we are the data controller.
For shopper data processed in a merchant’s store (photos, try-on images, anonymous statistics), the merchant is the controller and Prevyou acts as a processor on the merchant’s behalf, following the merchant’s instructions and Shopify’s rules.
3. Data we process
Merchants: the store’s Shopify address and the information Shopify provides when the app is installed or opened (including an access token), app settings, plan, usage and billing records, and the language of the Shopify admin.
Shoppers: the photo they choose to upload, after ticking a consent box; the generated try-on image; a random anonymous identifier stored in their browser and saved by us only in hashed form, used for per-shopper limits and statistics; anonymous events (window opened, try-on, add to cart, share); and, for orders containing products added from Prevyou, the order number, amounts and products. We do not collect shoppers’ names, emails, phone numbers or addresses.
4. Why we use it
To provide the try-on service (performance of our contract with the merchant), to bill usage through Shopify, to show the merchant statistics about try-on and sales, to prevent abuse with usage limits, and to meet legal obligations.
Photos are processed only on the basis of the shopper’s explicit consent, given in the try-on window before upload. Photos and results are never used to train AI models, sold or used for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
Shopper photo: deleted from our servers as soon as the try-on is finished, successful or not, with an hourly safety deletion.
Try-on image: deleted within 24 hours.
If the shopper chooses it, their photo is kept in their own browser for 10 minutes, then erased.
Anonymous statistics and order amounts: kept while the merchant uses Prevyou.
Merchant data: deleted 48 hours after uninstalling, when Shopify sends its store deletion request; images still stored are deleted at uninstall.
6. Processors
OpenAI (United States): generates the try-on image from the shopper photo and the product photo. Under OpenAI’s API policy, inputs and outputs are not used to train its models and may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
Supabase (database and file storage, European Union – Ireland).
Fly.io (application servers, Paris region).
Shopify (platform, app installation and billing).
Crisp (France): support chat in the Prevyou admin, loaded only when the merchant opens it; receives the store name and email, its plan and the messages exchanged.
Resend (emails to merchants, data hosted in the European Union – Ireland): receives the store’s email address and the message content (welcome, billing alerts, summaries).

7. International transfers
Some processors are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting providers. Photos are stored in a private storage area and only accessible through short-lived signed links. Access to production systems is restricted.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing. Shoppers can contact the store where they used try-on, or us at contact@app-prevyou.com. Shopify’s customer data and deletion requests are handled automatically.
You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
10. This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics trackers. Our host keeps standard technical logs (IP address, pages requested) for security.
